Objects continuing to change as they dehydrate

This is the process blog that ran for the duration of Becoming Material at West Space, Oct - Nov 2015.

Becoming Material was a performative and open-ended sculptural installation in which material, objects and sound will be generated on-site over several weeks. The gallery space functioned as an evolving site for re-editing relationships between objects and materials and the investigation of material processes. Becoming Material’s continuous, generative moment functioned as a means to realise that the self is intrinsically malleable also – in a perpetual state of becoming.

Materials: plaster, glass, soap, crystals, silk fibre, cables and jacks, audio recordings of studio processes
